BARRIER MATS
Applications
Barrier
mats are frequently applied to vehicles, construction equipment,
boats, lifts, floors, walls, enclosures, fans, ventilation systems,
railway carriages, washing machines, sinks, doors and all vibrating
sheet metal structures.
Use
The material is cut to parts of desired shape and size. Before
installation, it is essential to carefully clean grease, dirt,
dust and moisture from the base. The release paper covering of
the self-adhesive backing is removed and the part is installed,
starting from the shortest edge. The installation temperature
should be between 15...40°C.
We also produce tailored die cut mats to match customer drawings and
material specifications.

Barrier mats
Our
barrier mats can be used to control structure-borne noise
propagation in solid materials and to improve their airborne sound
insulation properties. In thin structures, applying a barrier mat
directly to the surface of the material reduces structure-borne
noise (vibration). In thick structures, the airborne sound resulting
from the vibration of the structure is reduced with a two-layer mat
in which a heavy layer is adhered to a foam layer.
In both
cases mentioned above, the sound energy is converted to heat. The
thinnest products of our diversified selection of barrier mats are
made of bitumen board and the thickest of either EPDM or bitumen.
